Thanks Michael. I spoke with Margaret at Folbot about rivets and will be getting a rivet tool and bringing one on long trips next time :-). When the rivets popped out of the tubes they deformed the hole a bit (the hole "erupted" outwards). When the hole is deformed like this, are there any tricks to re-rivet using the same hole? Thanks for your help.

I'd try to squeeze it flat with a c-clamp, and use washers if necessary if the hole is enlarged. There may be better ways.
