I'm sorry if this question has already been answered, but here it is: what's a good material to put on scrapes (from rocks!) in PVC? The underlying weave hasn't been cut, but in some places the coating has been scraped off. I don't want to apply patches, just put some coating over the scrapes.

I've used a couple of thin coats of Aquaseal.

Tip: From Feathercraft

Get the right color by mixing the Aquaseal with some artists gouache (seems to be ~ 1:10, but try it out yourself)
if you want to hide the core (often other color than the surface).

Great suggestions. Thank you. Wish I could stay away from rocks!

To repair a serious abrasion, I'd glue on PVC film, so long as the original substrate has not been damaged. Don't use coated fabric. If you do, it will look like you need to patch again when you have worn through the outer surface of the patch.
