Well, I'll be at the airport in 48-hours as we start the long flight down to Manaus via LA and Panama. We arrive at 1600 on Thurday and our friend Paul arrives from South Caroline by way of Miami and Sao Paulo at midnight. Chris arrives the next night at midnight. We'll have two Long Hauls, one Feathercraft and either a Yost homemade or a Cooper on the water.

The plans have been finalized, bags packed, visas stamped, boat reserved, hotel reservations completed and we've even figured out a couple of key restaurants in Manaus.

The first post in this thread was Oct 22, 2007. We are nothing if not persistent. Chris signed up almost from the start. Kevin broke his neck and is now well enough to go with us. Paul and I met on p-net and since he's a gringo born in Brazil and like me, married to a Brazilian, we made an immediate connection.

It's pretty remarkable how this has worked out.

Gerry, wish you and your companions a safe trip (so we can look at some of your pictures from the area).

See you whole and sound in the Black Canyon of Colorado.
