Noob here.... My father and I build a two seater Folbot out of a kit when I was around 10 years old (54 now). I decided to start looking for a folding kayak to add to a newly acquired RV. I happened across a Folbot GII on Craig's List and took the plunge last weekend. Without realizing that Folbot had folded, I purchased a 2009 model that was reported to have been assembled 4 times and paddled twice. It appears to be in excellent condition with no hull scrapes or scratches. It came with two paddles, a bag of accessories and patch kits, and no life vests.

Purchase price ended up at $1000. A few days of reading made me think I probably paid too much, but everything seems to be in excellent shape. I just need the forum participants to assist in identifying some of the accessories and answering a few assembly questions for me.

Cheers,

Jim

$1000 for a like-new G2 sounds like a pretty good deal to me...

Yes, I agree.
$1,000 is a very reasonable price for a mint condition GII regardless of age.
If it's truly a 2009 it will have all aluminum crossframes as well as aluminum washboards (coamings).
Are the paddles aluminum shaft with black polycarbonate blades? Ie. the Folbot paddles?
Meanwhile we can help you identify the rest of the goodies in the accessory bag.
Pictures work the best.

Welcome to the Folbot corner of the folding world.
