Midwest paddler

Post by BodymAn52 »

Hello, I’ve live in the Kansas City Missouri area, not exactly white water country. I lived in the Midwest since 78 but I was raised in Ft Lauderdale Fla. so my first folder was a old 17 foot double Folbot. Had it for 4 yrs in the mid 70s, but being much younger then I traded it for a 1964 Mercedes Benz 220B. One of many mistakes in my youth. I haven’t owned a kayak since and now as I approach 68 I have came into a Klepper Aerios II , a 1970 frame with a blue deck and gray Hull from the 90s . The frame is still tight but used, however the skin shows little use. No cuts , still pliable, just a few scuffs. You will hopefully see a post soon asking a few questions about this kayak, while it seems somewhat similar to a Folbot it is different. I look forward to interacting with fellow forum members as I definitely am a novice after all these years on dry land. Thank you, Bob
