Advanced Elements EVO

Post by JLove1975 »

Good evening,
New to the forum, from NorCal, transitioning from Current Designs to
Inflatables. Does anyone have familiarity with the stability of the
AE EVO? I’m interested in purchasing but cannot find anyone who allows
a “test-drive”!
Thanks for your response!

Welcome aboard. I often find helpful reviews on REI or Paddling.com, even Amazon. Good luck, keep us posted.

Stabiity of the new EVO will be fine. The orginal pre-Elite AirFusion I had was incredibly stable, and I had much heavier friends who also found it to be very stable (It's also very easy to roll). The EVO is an inch narrower, but at 24" that's still quite wide. the same dimensions as my very stable Fujita Al-1 400

Thanks for thes responses folks!
My CD Kestrel has a width at the cockpit of 26 inches
and is extremely stable, thus my concern. I’ve looked at
a great many reviews/videos of the EVO but have not seen any mention
of stability. It does have a weight limit of 240lbs according to AE, and little
in the way of storage.
Still, I’m intrigued enough to want to demo...
