I only knew one source, but Google Chrome says IP address for that cannot be found any more http://diypackrafts.com/

I was about to buy material to make my own sponsons. I prefer higher quality sponsons than OEM's original sponsons (which I managed to repair but don't feel confident about). I would like high quality sponson material that can be heat welded repeatedly (so that I can repair it easily myself).

Please let me know an alternative source. I am located in USA.

Thank you very much,
Fan

DiYpackraft is still in operation. Try it again with an "s" : https

Thank you very much, @kayakspearo!

I remember reading about your amazing inflatable surfski!

Edit: sorry, web page should be without s, as in:
https://www.diypackraft.com/

Which fabric should I buy for sponsons? I am guessing not the heavy duty one. Is the light duty one durable enough in terms of resistance to over-inflation, air leaking and bloating?

I managed to cause a slow/small leak from OEM's sponson with my month/lung, without blowing it hard. Though I sealed the leak successfully with cloth iron.

Will that 250GSM one work?

I don't need strong puncture resistance, as I won't be fishing or using anything sharp in kayak.

Do I need to buy one extra unit as backup (let us say if my boat needs 6 units, should I buy 7 units? I know I will have some leftover from 6 units, if I don't mess up).

I think the amount of sponson material that I need would be similar to @kayakspearo 's 19' inflatable surfski, but 5' shorter.

This looks like the "leather iron" recommended by DiYpackraft/Matt:
