sealing Nautiraid skin

Paddling technique, boat packing technique, anything having to do with how to use a piece of equipment (except sailing, which has its own section).

sealing Nautiraid skin

Post by michele »

Hi,
the skin of my Nautiraid 416 leaks some water on the deck.
Anyone has good suggestions to seal it?
Thank you in advance

Can you tell where the water's coming in? Is it at the seams, where the deck is sewn to the hull, or is there abrasion of the coating on the deck, or...?

Hi Michael,
it looks like the leak is on the skin, not on the seams.
But the skin is almost unused, even it's not new (I bought my Nautiraid from an unlucky shopowner  ).
And there are no abrasions...
Maybe the skin is too much tight?
Best regards
Michele, from Italy

How much water its it? Does this happen mainly in hot weather? It could be condensation.
