and results are awesome. After more than an hour paddling there are almost no traces of water at the deck

The boat looks good and apparently a bargain. It would appear the next thing is the seats, when Klepper brought out the molded seat i bought them and after a short while they were so uncomforable it was almost torture so i put gell pads on them and on the back rests. The pads i use are by Swoosh and Yak Pads, Swoosh for me are slightly more comfortable being slightly softer. Now there are numerous pads available and you may have different makes available in your Country. Another small point you probably have the blue rod holders which after a few years dont grip the rods any more, the new black ones are much better and worth the cost although not cheap but they will last.

After some years of padling, I have this scratch on the hull

How you guys go to repair it? Glue a patch? Or is enough with some hypalon paint?

What's the size? Does it go all the way through?

SeamGrip/AquaSeal would be the easiest options for smaller scratches. Patch for larger holes.

Hello,

I was looking at your Klepper and thought I would try and duplicate the old wooden backrest that I can see in the pictures. The only part I have is the wooden ash bar that connects to the two t fittings. I had some strips of 6 mm marine plywood there but I was thinking of the original shape, and wondered about the thickness and number of laminations in the wood. Baltic birch usually has more but the marine 6 mm plywood I had didn't have that many and didn't survive.

Jonathan

Thanks Vitaly, as SeamGrip is fairly easy to find on this part of the world I will give it a try.

Jonayuen, I am not sure, but in ebay germanyu you can find those back rests for a fair price, no need to do them on your own :)
