Had my sister pick up the Klepper Aerius 20 that has been available at the Swedish ad service "Blocket" for some time (the one mentioned in this recent thread: http://www.foldingkayaks.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6015). The sail gear was sold when I called on the ad, so I got it at a better price.

No photos yet, but will post extensive photo documentation when I pick up the Klepper later this summer (I live some 600 kms from sis).

Very happy camper! :D

Well done. I've been trying to persuade my brother who lives in Sweden to rescue that for ages. Glad to hear its gone to a good home. Would love to see some photos when you eventually get it on the water.

Hauled the AE20 from my sister's the other week and plan to put it in the water on Sunday. Here are some photos from a test assembly on my living roon floor...

Looks absolutely intriguing.
Let us know how it paddles when you've had a go.
All the best,
Ian

The wood parts that we can see look in very good condition, as does the small part of the hull we can see. As the hull is the same as an Aerius 2 it will paddle the same as the A2, only the wood frame changed to reduce parts so Klepper said, so a present 520 skin should fit it. In the 1976 "catalog"it says "The Aerius 2 has 31 wooden parts" and "The Aerius 20 has 15 wooden parts including the seats and back rests". It was supposed to reduce assembly time down to 10 min for the average person when they had some experience of the assembly.
