Hi: My 1996 Aerius 1 with new Longhaul skin just arrived- and very nice. I have a question? it has the OEM foot pedals and I'm trying to find the best position for them. Where in relationship to rib2 and the square mastfoot is the standard mounting position? I have the original black seat that tabs into the keel board and snaps in, and a Longhaul comfort seat that is more positionable fore and aft (a little).

I did find out that you can't follow aerius II instructions to assemble the hull!.

Thanks Bob

Bob,

Your rudder pedals clamp to the keelboard in front of second rib, with the heelpad/footrest folding down just in front of the mast hole when you are sailing. That is the farthest forward position you can achieve with the stock pedals. That makes the heelpad span over the second rib. When not using the mast you can move the pedals farther aft and you can even clamp the pedals aft of the second rib if you need a very short reach for your legs. Hope that makes sense, if not I would be happy to post some pics, just let me know.
Best,
g

Thanks- that is exactly where I ended up putting it. I put the OEM seat in (black contoured foam-no track) and the distance to pedals seem good.

Thanks Again, Bob
