UTE Classic

Post by sealution »

I'm considering purchasing a UTE Classic from Mark at Long Haul but I would really like to be able to see one first. I live in Eastern PA and wondering if any UTE owners in the Mid-Atlantic region (PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA) would be willing to show me theirs. I don't need to paddle one but would like to see one in person. I am Covid-19 vaccinated and practice double-masking and social distancing. Thanks! Chuck

I'm not exactly close (Boston area) but not too far if you want to take a look at my 2016 blue Ute (I'll be placing it in the classified ads shortly ... but absolutely no pressure to buy). Send me a PM if interested to see it.

If you are concerned about build quality, don't be. The build quality is just outstanding. Besides the skin and frame, there are so many well thought-out little things -- e.g. stainless steel pins for locking frame sections to ribs with cables to keep the pins from getting lost -- that make the kayak a join to assemble (if you admire well-built things).
