I have a khats and a pur35 desalinator. Have done a bit of a stretch down the sea of cortez and i liked it. Lots of wind days, though.
I'd prefer a relatively remote / wilderness sort of trip. Probably need some sort of village every week to ten days to pick up food. Need to work on my fishing.
Paddling conditions for intermediate, starting to creep towards advanced paddler. Don't really want to land a loaded boat in surf solo every night.
I'd like to be able to stealth camp / informal camp along the way. I don't mind meeting locals to ask permission or pay a bit, but don't want to deal with a lot of government and permitting.
Slight preference for cold water and ocean, but that's just what i'm used to...muddy rivers with reptiles and bugs would push the comfort zone, but maybe?? I might be able to round up a used drysuit. Half thinking about argentina.
Oh, it would be nice if it was relatively politically stable and not in the middle of a scary drug war. Bonus points if the airfare from vancouver doesn't impoverish me.
Thanks so much for sharing ideas and experience...cheers, m.
