New Greenland style boat from Nautiraid

I just received word from Guillaume Fatras of a new boat he has co-designed for Nautiraid. It's called the Narak, and Guillaume tells me it was designed very much in the spirit of a traditional Innuit kayak. It has thigh braces for rolling, and at 18' in length and 22.4" wide, it should be a very fast boat. The boat will be officially launched at the Kanumesse Show in Germany, Europe's premier kayak and canoe show, on October 5, 2010. I have have two photos of the prototype that I've posted in the Forum and the Photo Gallery.

Long Haul sale and new developments

Long Haul Folding Kayaks has a sale going on through the end of the summer, featuring a number of items ranging from camping accessories, like MSR water bags and LH ditty bags, to Long Haul Mk2 hulls (which will also fit Klepper Aerius II frames) for only $1250. That's a great deal. They also note that they're in the final stages of testing a stretch version of the Mk-II, and a new Mk-II kayak that's 21'5" in length and seats three.
