Serial number

Post by JohnFitz628 »

I purchased a very old Folbot on eBay years ago. It’s make of stretched canvass on a wood frame.
I’ve fixed it up and would
Like to get it licensed but cannot find a serial number.
Any Ideas?

John keep active on the site, it seems no one has any idea where or even if there would be a serial number on the kayak. It might have been made from a kit so probably there would be no number. Even factory made ones at the time might have not had them. Only someone who has been paddling Folbots for many years might know. The more recent boats have numbers but of course Folbot have now gone and the later generation of workers would not know. If you are allowed to use it without a license then paddle and let us know of your exploits.

Is there a State regulation that makes it mandatory to register it?
I think the best thing would be to ask the licensing dept there to get an answer. They might assign it a number for registration purposes.
"Yakadoodle" ...I had to come up with some name since Steve already stole my name!
